WinLASH 1728-20 for the Home Health Medicare Cost Report has been approved by CMS for Transmittal 1. CMS Form 1728-20 replaces 1728-94. It is effective for Cost Reporting Periods beginning on or after 1/1/2020 and ending on or after 12/31/2020.
Per the COVID-19 FAQ which was revised 1/5/2021, CMS has issued additional extensions to cost report filing deadlines.

CMS published Flash #2 and Flash #3 on September 25th and October 8th respectively. We have incorporated the changes specified by both of these Flashes into the latest version of our software which can be downloaded at WinLASH 2540 - SNF Medicare Cost Report.

Version 3.3.2 incorporates CMS Flash #3 which in accordance with §3709 of the CARES Act provides an exception from sequestration for the period of May 1, 2020, through December 31, 2020.

Version 1.10.3 of WinLASH 222-17 for the Rural Health Clinic Medicare Cost Report is now available for download from our website. Version 1.10.3 incorporates CMS Flash #10 which in accordance with §3709 of the CARES Act provides an exception from sequestration for the period of May 1, 2020, through December 31, 2020.
CMS has issued additional extensions to cost report filing deadlines due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
CMS has confirmed that it is delaying the filing deadlines of certain cost report due dates due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.
Per CMS, the filing deadlines for the following will be extended to June 30, 2020:
FYE October 31, 2019 and
FYE November 30, 2019
The filing deadline for FYE December 31, 2019 cost reports is now July 31, 2020.
Providers do not need to make a request for an extension. It is granted automatically.

We have received our approval from CMS for WinLASH 2540 for Transmittal 9. Transmittal 9 is effective for Cost Reporting Periods ending on or after 9/30/2019.
The latest versions of WinLASH 222, 224, 1728, 1984 and 2540 include our new Sign Electronically feature.
The cost report certification page (Worksheet S) can now be signed electronically within the WinLASH software. This feature enables a paperless submission of a cost report via MCReF.

Version 1.9.2 of WinLASH 222-17 for the Rural Health Clinic Medicare Cost Report is now available for download from our website. Version 1.9.2 incorporates CMS Flash #9 which removes the HRSA Award Number field from Worksheet S-1, Part I.
The new Medicare Cost Report e-Filing system (MCReF) gives Medicare Part A providers the ability to file 100% of their cost report, including supporting documentation, online.
Many users have questions about how to access and use MCReF, so we have created a collection of resources that addresses the most commonly asked questions.

Version 3.3.0 of WinLASH 1984-14 for the Medicare Hospice Cost Report is now available for download from our website. Version 3.3.0 incorporates CMS Flash #3 which revises the language of edit 1050A and changes the effective date of this edit from periods ending on or after 6/1/2018 to periods ending on or after 9/1/2018.
